What does counseling look like in practice
Counseling starts with an initial intake session, followed by regular one-hour weekly sessions, usually spanning 5-10 weeks. Consistent attendance at these weekly sessions is key to your success, although we can be flexible if needed.
- Initial Intake Session: We’ll identify the main obstacles that are holding you back in a specific area of your life.
- Personalized Approach: Together, we’ll create a tailored plan to address your unique needs.
- Weekly Sessions: Each week, we’ll meet to discuss your progress, challenges, and breakthroughs.
- Practical Activities: After each session, you’ll get practical activities (“homework”) to help you implement what we’ve discussed into your daily life.
- Real Transformation: The true change happens through your consistent practice and integration of new insights and habits.
- Continuous Reflection: We’ll regularly reflect on your progress, reassess your goals, and make any necessary adjustments to keep you on track.
Sessions can be held indoors for a comfortable setting, or we can take a refreshing walk in the park for a more dynamic experience. This flexible approach ensures you get the most out of your counseling journey.
